This example has a straight steel blade, deeply reeded dark wooden grip, and an elaborate set of engraved/chased brass fittings on both the sword and its wooden scabbard. The fittings repeat stylized Chinese shou (longevity) characters surrounded by decorative motifs associated with the traditional fushou style.

Sheath is peeling and parts around the base broke off. Blade and handle obviously wear from age.
